Why you should go

An exploration of Bohol’s various natural and cultural heritage. This countryside tour will start at two historical sites that highlight the influence of the Spanish Era on the province.

First, you will get to see the Blood Compact Commemorative Shrine, featuring a re-enactment sculpture of the world’s first recorded treaty of friendship between the brown race represented by local chieftain Datu Sikatuna and the white race by Miguel Lopez de Villalobos, a Spanish explorer.

Next is the Baclayon Church which is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines. You will see a showcase of unique wood carvings, paintings and other antiques presented in the church museum.

You will then be shown one of our natural delights, the oldest and cutest primate in the world - the tarsier. After seeing and learning about them, you will experience Boholano culture while enjoying lunch on a riverboat on one of Bohol’s beautiful major rivers, while locals present cultural dances and songs. After that, you will continue to discover Bohol through a stretch of “man-made” forest which is an admirable testament to reforestation projects.

And of course, the one of the most awaited parts of the tour is the world-famous Chocolate Hills. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of thousand perfectly cone-shaped hills and you get to hear of its interesting legends and the theories of its formation.

Before heading back, you will stop at the Butterfly Farm to see and learn how these many beautiful butterflies are being preserved - a perfect way of ending to the trip!
